Gregg Giuffria

Gregg Giuffria (* 28. July 1955 in the US) is an American keyboardist of melodic hard rock - genre . He stylized himself as a keyboard virtuoso of "Hair Metal" .

Life

His first band Angel , which he founded in high school in the mid-1970s, never got the attention he had hoped for, which is why they broke sail in 1981.

In the early 1980s he founded the AOR band named after him, Giuffria , with which he released two records, including the critically acclaimed but commercially unsuccessful Silk & Steel . Directed and produced by Gene Simmons , the band was renamed House of Lords and split from singer David Glen Eisley. The rock singer James Christian from Los Angeles was hired to replace him and Gene Simmons signed the band for his own music label Simmons Records .

Gregg Giuffria later appeared as a guest musician on the album The Final Frontier by the US metal band Keel . In 2006 House of Lords reformed around singer James Christian , but without Giuffria, who was only involved as a studio musician on the new album.

Giuffria is married to the actress April Clough .
