Lanny Cordola

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lanny Cordola (* 1961 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American rock guitarist , record producer and studio musician , who became known to a larger audience through his work with the US hard rock bands Giuffria and House of Lords .

At the AOR band Giuffria he replaced the guitarist Craig Goldy in 1986 , because the latter accepted the offer of the ex- Black Sabbath singer Ronnie James Dio to play in his own heavy metal band Dio and left Giuffria. With Giuffria Cordola recorded the album Silk & Steel before the group was renamed House of Lords in 1988. Cordola took their debut album of the same name with House of Lords, but left the band after the tour following the release. The reason for this were differences with the band's producer, Gene Simmons (ao musician with Kiss ). The German magazine Metal Hammer described Cordola as a virtuoso in the 1980s .

Since Cordola lived longer in the rock and pop music metropolis of Los Angeles , he worked there as a studio musician and was, among other things, the guitar teacher of Ken Tamplin . On television he was seen as a musician with the house band of Jesse Katsopolis (played by John Stamos ) in the well-known American television series Full House .

He is currently the guitarist in the backing band of the American singer Nancy Sinatra .
