The First View Point ( English for first look headland ) is a headland on the Scott coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It lies on the shores of Granite Harbor between Cape Roberts and Avalanche Bay .
A team led by the Australian geologist Thomas Griffith Taylor (1880-1963) to explore Granite Harbor on the British Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott mapped it and gave it its name. The further naming background has not been passed down.
