Fischer Automobile , consisting of Fischer Automobile GmbH, Fischer Automobile GmbH & Co. KG and Fischer Automobile Amberg GmbH & Co. KG, is a pan-European group of companies in the automotive industry with locations in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz , Pilsach , Ursensollen and Amberg .

history

In October 1982 Franz Fischer registered a business for a motor vehicle trade . In Sindlbach near Berg near Neumarkt in Upper Palatinate, he prepared a parking space for vehicles in need of repair and set up an office in his basement.

When Franz Fischer moved to Pilsach in mid-1985, a partnership with Volkswagen AG that still exists today began. A workshop contract was concluded and Fischer Automobile GmbH was created.

One of the major milestones in the company's history is the signing of the VW / Audi dealer agreements in 1986.

In 2002 the Ochsenkühn car dealership in Neumarkt with two branches was taken over. From then on, Fischer Automobile operated at three locations.

In 2003, the then Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs, Otto Wiesheu, awarded Franz Fischer the Bavarian best 50 prize for particularly dynamic corporate development.

In 2004, a new facility was built in Nürnberger Strasse on the outskirts of Neumarkt. This was occupied at the end of 2004 and became the new company headquarters. The bodywork and painting service center is located at the former headquarters in Pilsach. There is also a 24-hour breakdown service in Pilsach and since May 2007 sales and service for Fiat , Fiat Professional, Alfa Romeo and Lancia .

In March 2005, Franz Fischer was awarded the Jobstar of the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region for the special commitment in creating jobs and apprenticeships in the region , shortly afterwards with the Bavarian best 50 award for the second time .

In 2007 and 2008, the product range was expanded to include two further contractual partnerships, the brands Škoda Service and Seat .

In addition, a completely new building for the trade in used vehicles and Seat new cars was built in 2007 in Ursensollen near Amberg . Since then, the company has operated as Fischer Automobile GmbH & Co KG under the management of Thomas Fischer, son of Franz Fischer.

Since July 1, 2009, the Audi and Volkswagen Center Amberg, formerly owned and managed by the Zinkl brothers, has also been part of the Fischer Group. The Audi center was integrated at the Ursensollen site , the Volkswagen center in Amberg was retained in its old form. The VW company has been trading as Fischer Automobile Amberg GmbH & Co KG since July 1, 2009, and Horst Hoffmann is the managing director. As a result of the transfer of operations, the number of employees grew to around 350 people.

On February 1, 2011, the management of Fischer Automobile GmbH & Co KG changed. Horst Hoffmann is the new managing director. The previous managing director in Ursensollen, Thomas Fischer, moved to the Neumarkt location and added to the management of Fischer Automobile GmbH there on February 1, 2011.

In 2013, the companies in Neumarkt and Amberg became Volkswagen e-mobility partners. In addition, a service contract for the Škoda brand was concluded in the Amberg plant.

On March 29th, after two years of construction, the company opened its multi-brand center in Amberg on Speckmannshofer Straße. The brands Volkswagen, SEAT, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and the used car brand Das WeltAuto were integrated there. In addition, a workshop building with a body and paint service center as well as a car wash was built there. At the same time, the old location on Kastler Strasse was closed.

At the end of 2016, the management of Fischer Automobile Amberg GmbH & Co. KG changed. Thomas Fischer takes over the company management in Amberg, as in the other three Fischer Automobile companies.
