Fischertag is a crime film from Memmingen . The plot revolves around the use of firearms on the Memminger Fischertag . The budget was around 50,000 euros and was largely financed by sponsors.

action

A gang of former school friends Karl, Paul, Sven, Matthias and Alex, who made a fortune with robberies and money laundering, returned home on the occasion of Fisherman's Day. They now use the gathering at the Heimatfest to launder, hide and distribute their money. But the gang leader Karl's nephew Jonas has found out about the criminals and is now out for revenge. While fishing out the city stream, the first shot is fired and Matthias is shot by Jonas. This can be quickly provided by the police officers Bernhard and Bianka. But the avalanche of violence has already started rolling.

production

Filming has been going on since the eve of Fisherman's Day in 2018. A total of about 30 days of shooting were estimated for the film. Sometimes up to 150 volunteers helped out. The vast majority of the film was shot in Memmingen and Buxheim . Important and well-known places of action are, for example, the Stadtbach between Marktplatz and Weinmarkt, the clinic , the town hall and the Buxheim nursing home. The production makes use of many drone recordings of the city and the surrounding area and, in some cases, also slow motion recordings.

The actors in the film are all laypeople. Among them are many well-known faces in the city, such as former mayor Ivo Holzinger .

Age ratings and reviews

In Germany, the film was approved by the FSK from the age of 12.

Under the premise that only amateur actors were involved, the film has received mostly good feedback so far.

Chief fisherman Jürgen Kolb praised the film in his fisherman's saying 2019: "There is a crowd in front of the cinema, 'Fischertag' is running in feature length, Pfausi's project is impressive, half the city is playing the police" (translated from Memming dialect into High German).

In the Internet Movie Database , the film received rather mixed ratings with an average of only about 4 out of 10 points.

In the year of publication 2019, around 6,670 visitors saw the film in the cinema at the Memmingen production site, which corresponds to around two percent of the total cinema visits in the year.

Trivia

  • When the forensics officer secures the murder weapon from the Stadtbach, she asks everyone: "What is it, have you never seen a woman in the Stadtbach?", To which some fishermen respond by shaking their heads. This is an allusion to the controversy as to whether women are allowed to "itch" in the brook on Fisherman's Day (see also criticism of Fisherman's Day ).
  • One shot shows a flock of pigeons flying over Schrannenplatz; an allusion to the ban on pigeon feeding in the city, which was only issued shortly before the film was broadcast.
  • A short scene shows former mayor Ivo Holzinger , whose car was stolen while unloading household waste. He comments on this with “It's good that this is only happening to me now”. He recently retired and had to hand over his company car.
