The Fisher Peak is a turn 1100 m high mountain at the Orville Coast of the West Antarctic Ellsworthlands . In the Hauberg Mountains it rises 8 km southeast of Mount Leek .
The first ascent was made in 1977 by a team from the United States Geological Survey . He mapped the mountain based on his own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1977. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1985 after Dwight David Fisher (* 1945), pilot in command of the first landing of a Lockheed C-130 Hercules on the English coast in December 1984 and among other things commander of the support units of the US Navy in Antarctica from 1987 to 1989.
