The Fium Orbu (also called Fiumorbo ) is a river in France that runs on the island of Corsica . It rises on the northwest flank of Monte Giovanni (1950 m), near the Val-d'Ése ski station . The source is located in the Corsica Regional Nature Park , in the municipality of Palneca . In the upper reaches the river is called Rau de Marmano . It first drains north-east through the Corsican Mountains in the Fiumorobo landscape , then swings east and south-east, reaches the plain and after a total of 46 kilometers flows into the Tyrrhenian Sea in the municipality of Prunelli-di-Fiumorbo . On its way, the Fium Orbu touches the Corse-du-Sud and Haute-Corse departments .
