Fjellimellom (Norwegian for in the middle of the mountains ) is an icy valley in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . In the Gjelsvikfjella it lies between the Mayr chain and the Nupskammen .
The first aerial photographs were taken during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of Alfred Ritscher . Norwegian cartographers, who also descriptively named the valley, mapped it on the basis of aerial photographs and measurements of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952) and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
