The Fjellsjøkampen is a 812,238 moh. high mountain in Norway . It was the highest point in the former Akershus province and belongs to the municipality of Hurdal , now the province of Viken . The second highest mountain in the province is the Lushaugen , which is only 7 cm lower .
It is located in the center of the commune area, in the immediate vicinity of the border with the province of Innlandet and is surrounded by the Fjellsjøkampen nature reserve . The place Hurdal is located about 8 km southeast of the mountain. The notch height of Fjellsjøkampen is 108.738 m, the dominance over the next higher mountain is about 2.45 km. The normal route leads from Gjødningsætra to the summit in about an hour. Another popular route starts in Rognlisaga in the north of the municipality of Hurdal. At the top of the mountain there is an 8 m high observation tower which, when the weather is clear, allows a distant view of the Gaustatoppen , the Rondane Mountains and the Jotunheimen Mountains.
