Flagman Island ( Russian Остров Флагман Ostrow Flagman , German ' flagship island ' ) is an island in the Highjump Archipelago off the Knox coast of the East Antarctic Wilkesland . It is located immediately west of Draves Point .
Scientists on a Soviet Antarctic expedition mapped it and named it in 1956. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia translated the name into English on January 19, 1989.
