The La Courneuve Flash (French: Flash de La Courneuve ), also known and listed in German-speaking countries as Paris Flash , are an American football team from La Courneuve near Paris in France .

Club history

Was founded in La Courneuve Flash in 1984. The performances were recorded in the French second division 1985th Flash has played in the top division without interruption since 1986 . In the 1997 season, Flash moved into the Casque de diamant , the final of the French championship, for the first time and won it against Aix-en-Provence Argonautes 45:28. Since this season, the team from La Courneuve has always been in the semi-finals (as of 2015). Between 2005 and 2009, Flash was the dominant team nationally, winning five titles in a row. With the ninth Casque de diamant in 2011, Flash became the French record champion.

La Courneuve Flash are internationally known for their multiple participation in the European Football League (EFL), in which they only lost to the Hamburg Blue Devils at 19:38 in the 1998 Eurobowl . In 2006, Flash qualified again for the Eurobowl with a 27:17 win against the Swarco Raiders Tirol in the semi-finals of the EFL and lost 9:41 to the Dodge Vikings Vienna from Vienna . In the 2009 season, Flash made the third and so far last entry, the Eurobowl. With a 30:19 defeat against the Swarco Raiders Tirol, the Eurobowl XXIII also ended with the runner-up title.

In 2015 the team took part in the Big6 , the highest European football club competition, but failed in the group stage at the Swarco Raiders Tirol and the New Yorker Lions from Braunschweig.
