The Flat Top (English for flat summit is) a 1330 m high and striking Table Mountain with steep rock cliffs in East Antarctic Coats Land . In the western section of the Shackleton Range, it rises 6 km northeast of Lister Heights .
He was discovered and descriptively named during reconnaissance flights of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958). Participants of this expedition visited and mapped it in 1957.
