Flemming Knuth
Flemming Kai Knuth-Knuthenborg (born April 30, 1879 on Jomfruens Egede , at Faxe , † January 6, 1942 in Copenhagen ) was a Danish engineer.
Life
On his father's side, Knuth came from the Mecklenburg-Danish noble family Knuth . He was the youngest of a total of nine children of Frederik Christian Julius Knuth and his wife Anna Eleonora Frederikke Elisabeth, nee. Countess Holck-Winterfeldt. Flemming's oldest sister was the functionary Henriette Knuth .
In 1897 Knuth passed his Abitur at Østersøgades Gymnasium and then went to the Polytechnische Lehranstalt , from which he received his cand.polyt in 1904. received. From 1905 to 1907 he was an engineer at the machine manufacturer Borch & Henriksen. In 1906 he became a second lieutenant in the engineering force. On August 1, 1907, he became assistant engineer in the telegraph system of the 1st engineering district. On May 1, 1918, Knuth became an engineer in the main office for telegraphy. On July 1, 1919, he became a second class telegraph engineer, and a first class telegraph engineer on August 1, 1920. On June 1, 1927, he came to the post and telegraph industry. On July 1, 1931, Knuth became chief accountant in the General Directorate of Post and Telegraphy. On December 31, 1941, he retired from civil service.
