Henriette Knuth

Countess Henriette Knuth-Knuthenborg (born December 18, 1863 on Jomfruens Egede , at Faxe , † April 25, 1949 in Copenhagen ) was a Danish teacher and Christian functionary.

Life

On his father's side, Knuth came from the Mecklenburg-Danish noble family Knuth . She was the eldest of Frederik Christian Julius Knuth's nine children and his wife Anna Eleonora Frederikke Elisabeth, née. Countess Holck-Winterfeldt. Henriette's youngest brother was the engineer Flemming Knuth .

From 1880 to 1900 Kunth worked as a teacher in a girls' school she ran. From 1901 to 1909 she was the director of the Kristelig Forening for Unge Kvinder , from 1909 to 1929 she was its state chairman. From 1916 to 1935 she was a member of the board of the Danish Mission Society . Later she was a conventual in the Gisselfelder monastery . She was the holder of the Fortjenstmedaljen in gold.
