Flemming Toft (born October 12, 1948 in Frederiksberg , Denmark ) is a Danish journalist who is known in his home country for his sports commentary on TV2 .

Life

After training as a journalist, Toft worked for several Danish newspapers : from 1970 at Frederiksborg Amt Avis ; from 1974 with Berlingske Tidende and from 1977 with Politiken . After brief positions at the film company Nordisk Film (1985) and Danmarks Radio (1986–1988), his career began in November 1988 with the television broadcaster TV2, where he is responsible for the sports division. In 1992 he commented on the final of the 1992 European Football Championships for the broadcaster , in which the Danish team sensationally defeated the favored German team 2-0. At the final, his enthusiastic exclamation made Huttelihut! for a sensation in the country.

Toft also published the books Fodboldens Hvem-Hvad-Hvor (The Who-When-Where of Football), Tennis Jul (Tennis Christmas) and Triumfen (The Triumph).
