Initially, the Flensburg EC played most of the time in the regional league. In 1989, the club rose so that you could complete two years higher class in the Regionalliga Nord ( 1989/1990 and 1990/1991 ). Then there was relegation and it was played again in the Association League or State League. In 1994/1995 the club was promoted to the Nord-Ost association league and came second in the North German team cup. In 1995/1996 they played again in the Regionalliga Nord. From the 1996/1997 season they played again in the association league. In 1998 they reached the final of the North German Team Cup, but lost there against Nordhorn . For the 2003/2004 season, the lease for the Glacier Hall in Harrislee (the venue for Germany's northernmost ice hockey club ) between the operator and the FHEC was no longer extended. Since then, the FHEC has been an inactive club, so that EHC 06 Timmendorf is the only Schleswig-Holstein representative to take part in games. The FHEC was part of the Schleswig-Holstein State Ice Sports Association until 2013. In January 2014, the FHEC was deregistered from the Schleswig-Holstein State Ice Sports Association and then finally dissolved.

Since 2012 there has been a team that, as the division of DGF-Flensborg , meets once a week for ice hockey in Vojens, Denmark, 53 km away . The team consists of old ice hockey players from FHEC and inline hockey players from Flensborg Vikings.

Ice stock sport

In 1984 the curling division was founded in Flensburg EC. The idea for this came from Emil Scheibner, who became aware of the sport while on vacation in Austria. The curling division was able to achieve some success. In 1989 and 1990, for example, the women's team became regional champions of Schleswig-Holstein. The title also went to Flensburg twice in target shooting. In 1994 the stick division moved to SV Adelby in Flensburg. It still exists there today and takes part in curling tournaments.

figure skating

Figure skating could not prevail in Flensburg. This sport no longer exists in Schleswig-Holstein since then.

Ice rink glacier hall

The ice rink was part of the Hotel des Nordens . It was closed in 2016.
