Flip van der Kuil
Filip (Flip) van der Kuil (born April 15, 1980 in Amsterdam , Netherlands ) is a Dutch actor , director , screenwriter and film producer .
Career
He made his debut on Dutch television in 2001. He can be seen there on the sketch show De Pulp Show . In addition to acting in sketches, van der Kuil was also co-producer and co-director (together with Steffen Haars ) of the series.
In 2003 van der Kuil was one of the participants in the first series of programs of the travel program The Trip , which was shown on MTV . In this program he and his comrade Steffen Haars tried to travel from Gibraltar to the North Cape within 21 days despite a low budget of 250 euros. The ride was filmed.
Together with Steffen Haars, he wrote, directed and produced the television series New Kids in the following years . He himself plays the role of Barrie Butsers there . The total of three seasons were broadcast from 2007 to 2010. With this, van der Kuil became known to a larger audience.
In the short film Circus by Ruben Broekhuis (2009) he had a role as a tyrant.
The New Kids movie New Kids Turbo was released in 2010 in collaboration with Eyeworks . Van der Kuil also wrote the script for this and played in the film himself. A year later, the second New Kids feature film, New Kids Nitro , followed, in which he also wrote the script and in which he starred.
