The 9th Austrian state floorball championship on the men's large field began on September 19, 2009. The defending champion was the VSV Unihockey , who won the title in five finals against TVZ Wikings Zell am See .

The preliminary round of the Austrian men's (large field) state championship was played out in a simple preliminary and second round. The four best teams in the regular round determined the finalists in a "Best of 3" series. The final was played in a "Best of 5" mode.
