Florence D. Lee (born March 12, 1888 in Jamaica , Vermont , † September 1, 1962 in Hollywood , California ) was an American actress of the silent film era . She also wrote the screenplay for seven short films between 1912 and 1914.

Florence Lee appeared in numerous films in the 1910s and 1920s, primarily at Biograph Studios in New York . There she was more often directed by Dell Henderson , her husband. The two were married until Henderson's death in 1956. In addition to her film work, Lee starred in ten productions on Broadway between 1913 and 1935 , mostly in comedies. She is often confused with a colleague of the same name who played the grandmother in Charlie Chaplin's 1931 film classic Lights of the Big City (1931).

Florence Lee died in 1962 at the age of 74 and was buried at her husband's side in Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery, Hollywood.
