Florence from Langen

Florence von Langen (* in the 15th century; † March 28, 1528 ) was canon in Münster .

Life

Florence from Langen was the son of Dietrich von Langen on Everswinkel from the Westphalian noble family of of "Long with diamonds" born and his wife Sophia. His brother Rudolf was an early humanist and owned a cathedral canon in Münster. For the first time on November 19, 1492, Florence was mentioned in a document as the Cathedral of Münster. The sources do not provide any information about his work. After his death, a dispute arose between Arnold de Bever and Michael von der Leyen about the now vacant cathedral priest . After the decision of the cathedral chapter , Michael came into the possession of the benefice.
