Arnold de Bever

Arnold de Bever (* 1509 ; † November 29, 1557 in Asbeck ) was provost of the cathedral in the Duchy of Münster .

Life

Origin and family

Arnold de Bever came as the son of Arnold de Bever zu Langen (Drost zu Bentheim, † 1535) and the Engele von dem Rodenberge († 1526) an ancient Westphalian Burgmann family. He had four siblings.

Act

Arnold owned the altar in Sankt Antonii in Neuenhaus (Grafschaft Bentheim). In 1557 renounced it on the altar and received in return a Domkanonikat in Muenster. As the successor to Heinrich von Plettenberg , he was elected Cathedral Scholaster on May 12, 1553. The Wilhelm Ketteler confirmed the election on 15 November 1554th After Arnold was elected Provost of the Cathedral on May 5, 1557 , he renounced the Cathedral Scholasterei.
