Supernova Plasmajets (SNPJ) is an English-speaking glam hard rock band from Mannheim , Germany .
history
The project was founded in 2010. At the beginning the band worked with a German-speaking singer named Till Promill, who then switched to the medieval band Saltatio Mortis as guitarist in 2012 .
In 2013 singer Jennifer Crush got on and it was switched to the English language. In October 2014 the first self-published EP called "Reign in Plasma" was released.
In 2016 the band received a record deal with the German melodic rock label AOR Heaven , on which, a year later, their debut album Supernova Plasmajets was released in 2017 . In addition, the band signed a record deal in Japan with Ward Records in the same year , where they also released their first album as a CD of the same name. A cover song by Michael Sambellos "Maniac", known from the 80s film Flashdance, was added to the Japanese album version as a bonus track .
The band has so far appeared as support for various acts of various genres such as B. for Eskimo Callboy , JBO ., Sinner , Onkel Tom Angelripper Double Crush Syndrome and The New Roses . In October 2017 the band was on tour as permanent tour support with The New Roses on tour in Germany.
The Supernova plasma jets have so far also appeared at various large festivals such as E.g. at the Summer Breeze Open Air in Dinkelsbühl, the Schlossgrabenfest in Darmstadt, the HEAT Festival in Ludwigsburg or the legendary Rock im Hinterland Festival in Obrigheim.
