Adlmannseder's works are often based on the tradition and way of life in Innviertel . But he also implemented large-scale city views according to Matthäus Merian on tiled stoves. He also transferred copper engravings by Johann Elias Ridinger to tiled stoves. He also liked to transfer drawings by Antoine Watteau to his tiled stove designs . Simply stylized pottery flowers were also part of his repertoire.

In his early days he created oil paintings, drawings and watercolors. His ceramic figural works were in great demand . For example, fully vivid city views, traditional depictions of local traditions, nativity scenes and individual figures. He also painted ceramic bowls with all kinds of motifs.
