European indoor hockey championship for women 1987

The women's indoor hockey championship in 1987 was the fifth edition of the women's indoor hockey championship . It took place from January 5th to January 7th in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler . Defending champion Germany defeated the Netherlands 10: 8 in the final and celebrated their fifth European title.

With 160 goals in 20 games, it was the tournament with the lowest number of goals since 1975. Lisanne Lejeune from the Netherlands was the top scorer with a total of 13 goals. The Dutch coach Gijs van Human provided a premiere, who did without a goalkeeper in the semifinals and finals.

In front of 700 spectators, the goals for Germany were scored by Beate Deininger (6 ×), Eva Hegener (2 ×), Gaby Appel and Caren Jungjohann . Lisanne Lejeune signed four goals for the Netherlands .
