European indoor hockey championship for women 1981

The women's indoor hockey championship in 1981 was the third edition of the women's indoor hockey championship . It took place from January 30th to February 1st in the Berlin-Charlottenburg sports hall . Defending champion Germany celebrated their 24th international win and the third European championship after beating Scotland in the final in the 24th indoor hockey match.

Third placed Canada took part in the European Championship with special permission.

The most successful goalscorer of the tournament was Birgit Hagen from Blau-Weiß Köln with 16 goals in five games, ahead of Christina Moser with 14 goals and the Spaniard Rosa Sanz .
