Florian Berrenberg

Florian Berrenberg (* 1965 ) is a German American football coach and television commentator.

career

Berrenberg came into contact with American football through a magazine article in 1980 and decided to play the sport.

In 1995 and 1996 Berrenberg worked in the coaching staff of the Frankfurt Galaxy ( World League of American Football ) team, where he was responsible for looking after the defensive backs . In 1995 he won the World Bowl with Frankfurt . For the 1998 season he moved to the Hamburg Blue Devils and also worked there with the defense players. At the end of June 2000, he was promoted to the position of head coach for the Hamburg team after Lee Rowland was dismissed as a result of a failed season opener. Berrenberg looked after the team as head coach until the end of the season.

As the defense coordinator of the German national team, Berrenberg was involved in winning the European championship title in 2001 and the bronze medal at the 2003 World Cup.

Berrenberg was coach of the Bavarian youth football team, later worked for the Franken Knights , for the 2005 season he took over the head coach of Bundesliga promoted Munich Cowboys , but was dismissed shortly before the start of the season. He also worked in the youth department of the Munich club as a trainer. At the Kirchdorf Wildcats he worked as a defense coordinator, rose with the team to the GFL in 2017 and worked there for Kirchdorf until the end of the 2018 season.

From 1988 he was on television as a commentator for football games. The full-time as a teacher of English and Sport in Lower Seeon Berrenburg active worked at football broadcasts radio station Tele 5 , later in the DSF or Sport1 and DAZN .
