Florian Gillen

Florian Gillen (born June 9, 1982 in St. Wendel ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and former member of the Saarland state parliament .

Life

Gillen grew up in the Bliesen district of St. Wendel . History and since 2002 law at the University of Saarland . After the second state examination (2014) he worked as a legal advisor .

He was district chairman of the Schüler Union from 1998 to 2000, press officer of the district association of the Junge Union (JU) from 1999 to 2002 and city association chairman of the JU St. Wendel. In March 2002 he became the deputy chairman of the JU district association St. Wendel , and from 2003 to 2008 he was district chairman. In 2008 he was elected local chairman of the CDU Bliesen .

In the 2004, 2009 and 2012 elections, he ran unsuccessfully for a place in the Saarland state parliament. In August 2007 Gillen replaced the deceased Peter Hans in the Saarland state parliament until the end of the 2009 legislative period.

Gillen has been a member of the St. Wendel City Council since the local elections in 2009 and was elected deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group after the 2014 local elections.

Gillen also volunteered for the technical relief organization and worked for Orange-21 , an internet radio for young people.

He is married and has a daughter.
