Florian Heinemann (born January 15, 1976 in Bergisch Gladbach ) is a German entrepreneur , serial entrepreneur , venture capitalist and business angel .

Heinemann was significantly involved in companies such as JustBooks (as founder 1999, sold in 2001 to AbeBooks , sold in 2008 to Amazon ), Zalando (founding investor 2008), Rocket Internet (member of the management 2007–2012) and Project A Ventures (founding partner 2012).

Career

Florian Heinemann is married and lives in Berlin. In 1999 he received a degree in business administration from WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management Koblenz. From 2002–2006 he received his doctorate in innovation management and entrepreneurship under the title “Organization of New Product Development Projects” at HHL Handelshochschule Leipzig and RWTH Aachen University . In 2005 he was visiting scholar at the Wharton School in Philadelphia.

Heinemann is a founding partner of the early-stage investor Project A Ventures in Berlin, where he is responsible for marketing , CRM and business intelligence . Before founding Project A Ventures, he was Managing Director at Rocket Internet. During his time at Rocket Internet, he was mainly involved in building up Zalando, Global Fashion Group and eDarling / Affinitas.

Before Rocket Internet, Florian Heinemann was co-founder and managing director of JustBooks (later AbeBooks), where he was responsible for marketing and product. Then he was responsible for the online marketing department at Jamba! and the online dating portal iLove (2003–2005, sold to Verisign ). In 2006 he co-founded the online marketplace Antibodies Online (sold to BroadOak Capital Partners).

These include companies such as Trivago (seed investor), Zalando (start-up investor), Audibene (seed investor), Home24 (start-up investor ), CityDeal / Groupon (start-up investors), Betreut.de/Care.com (seed investor), ClassPass (early-stage investor) , Mimi Hearing (early stage investor), Bitbond (seed investor) and Lillydoo (early stage investor). Florian Heinemann is one of the founding investors of the CODE University of Applied Sciences in Berlin.
