Florin Cotora (born December 12, 1972 in Sibiu ) is a former Romanian football player . The goalkeeper played a total of 55 games in the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A .

Career

The career of Cotora began in 1991, when he was in the first team squad of Inter Sibiu was that at that time in the highest Romanian league, the Divizia A , was represented. He made his debut on August 25, 1991 in the game against Electroputere Craiova , but hardly came into play in the further course of the season. It was not until the 1993/94 season that the stakes increased without his being able to permanently defend his place in goal. Even after relegation in 1996 , his situation initially did not change. With the beginning of the 1997/98 season he was able to establish himself as a regular goalkeeper for Inter. During this time he fought with the club to avoid relegation from the Divizia B .

In autumn 2000, Inter Sibiu had to file for bankruptcy and withdraw from Divizia B's game operations. Cotora then joined the league competitor Minaur Zlatna . In 2002 he moved again within Divizia B and signed with Apulum Alba Iulia . Here he rose to Divizia A in 2003, but only came to nine missions. It was not until the 2003/04 season that he became number one in goal. After relegation in 2004/05 , he ended his career.
