The Balmaceda Airport (Spanish: Aeródromo Balmaceda) is a Chilean airport which of the village on the edge Balmaceda , about 55 kilometers south of Coyhaique , is located. It is the main airport on the Carretera Austral and is located in the middle of Patagonia , about 4 kilometers from the Argentine border. Due to the increasing number of tourists in the region, the airport is constantly being expanded.
