The Cayo Coco Airport (Aeropuerto Internacional Jardines del Rey) is a modern, newly built, international airport on the island of Cayo Coco in Cuba . It is used for charter flights for European and Canadian vacationers on the islands of Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo , as well as for domestic transfers to Havana Airport ( Aeropuerto Internacional José Marti ) .
When it opened in 2002, it replaced international air traffic at the Máximo Gómez International Airport in Ciego de Ávila for the island region of Jardines del Rey .
This airport has not been served from Germany since November 2006.
