The Pilolevu Airport (also Salote Pilolevu Airport Ha'apai ) is the airport of the Ha'apai archipelago in the Kingdom of Tonga . It is located about three kilometers north of the divisional capital Pangai . The main island road crosses the runway about 450 meters east of threshold 11. When aircraft are taking off or landing, road traffic is prevented from crossing the runway by barriers.
The airport is connected several times a week by Real Tonga Airlines with Lupepau'u on Vava'u and Fua'amotu airport on Tongatapu .
