The Liepaja Airport is a regional airport in Liepāja in western Latvia . It is served three times a week by Air Baltic . In summer it is open to international air traffic. Together with Riga International Airport and Ventspils Airport , it is one of the three most important airports in Latvia.
Liepāja Airport is located 5 km east of Liepāja and 210 km from the capital Riga . The area of the airport is 2.2 km 2 .
On September 20, 2016 , the airport was reopened for commercial flights after an interruption of eight years.
