Extensions

With the construction of a new runway (08L / 26R), the airport was upgraded for the Airbus A380 ; this runway was opened for flight operations on December 22, 2014.

A new terminal was built between the two slopes and opened on March 20, 2018. It is able to handle large aircraft such as the Boeing 747 or the Airbus A380 . According to the airport, this will increase the capacity to 20 million passengers per year. With the opening of the new terminal, all international flights were moved there. The old terminal will only be used by low-cost airlines.
