The Talagi Airport ( Russian Аэропорт Талаги , scientific. Transliteration Aeroport Talagi ) is an international airport in Russia , about six kilometers northeast of Arkhangelsk . At the airport is the Talaschski Aviagorodok settlement , where most of the airport's employees live.

history

The airport opened on February 5, 1963. In addition to civil aviation, he has since served the Soviet Air Defense Forces (Wojska PWO, Войска ПВО ) as a base for the 518th Fighter Regiment ( 518-й истребительный авиационный полк ). In 1998 the regiment was disbanded. Since 1995 it has also been used for international flights.

Talagi Airport is the seat of the airline Nordavia , formerly Aeroflot-Nord. This mainly offers domestic flights. There are also flights to some international airports.
