The Vaskovo Airport ( Russian Аэропорт Васьково , scientific. Transliteration Aéroport Vas'kovo ) is an airport in Russia , about 13 km south of Arkhangelsk . The airport is the seat of the Second United Arkhangelsk Flight Unit . Mainly regional destinations are served from Waskowo.

Location and infrastructure

Waskowo Airport is located in a forest area, about 13 kilometers south of Arkhangelsk and two kilometers north of the Waskowo settlement of the same name . The airport has a 2450 m long, 32 m wide runway made of reinforced concrete with the orientation 13/31. All types of helicopters and aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of 80 tons can take off from Waskowo. The airport terminal is located northeast of the runway. There are no hotels, restaurants, a bank or post office on the site. The airport is connected to the Russian M8 highway by a country road . There is a regular bus service from Arkhangelsk to the airport with bus line 110.
