action

Ted Hayden and his friend Dusty Rhodes, who saved his life twelve years ago, return to his home village in search of his little brother Jim. Jim was kidnapped twelve years ago as a baby by the man who had recently shot her father. While searching for Jim, the two men meet the dying outlaw Gat Ganns, who looks very much like Ted and who carries a letter of recommendation as a killer for a certain Mr. Gentry. Gentry once bought the ranch owned by Ted's family. Ted adopts Gann's identity to investigate Gentry.

In the meantime, Gentry has tried in vain to buy his ranch from his neighbor Winter. In revenge, he has Winter's daughter Fay attacked while she is on her way to town. She is shot by Gentry's men - Ted and Dusty find the badly injured Fay and take her to a doctor in town. A short time later, Ted comes to Gentry's ranch. Here Ted meets the boy Spuds, a neglected and abused child who soon gains confidence in Ted. Ted in turn receives the order from Gentry to kill Winter and although he pretends to want to fulfill the order, he manages to warn Winter in time.

When Ted is supposed to murder Winter from behind at Gentry's behest, Ted reveals Gentry's plans to Winter. Ted returns to Gentry and pretends to have murdered Winter. Now Gentry, who is supposed to pay Ted out the next day, plans to kill Ted. Spuds learns of the plans and rides to Winter, where Ted is staying. He warns him. A letter Spuds carries with him reveals that Spuds is Ted's missing brother, Jim. Gentry, in turn, turns out to be her father's murderer. There is a showdown between Ted and Gentry, as a result of which Gentry is killed. Ted, who found his brother again, and Fay end up dating.
