The village of Fohlenplacken is about 1.5 km (as the crow flies) northwest of the town center of Neuhaus' on the Holzminde at an altitude of 295 to 340  m . The circuit road 50 between Neuhaus and Holzminden performs the local situation .

history

The area in which the Corvey monastery once had guardian rights was called Fülleplacke in modern times . The Allersheim office had foals herded on the pastures on this small piece of land ( Middle Low German Plack) . A mill was the first building to be built in the 18th century; further settlements followed. The glaze mill was at times a supplier for the Fürstenberg porcelain factory . In 2017, the Waldglashütte an der Holzminde north of the village was archaeologically examined, which is considered to be the second oldest of its kind in Europe.

economy

Gastronomy and wood processing belong to the economic factors of the place. The old mill is a holiday home.
