The Fund Financial Broker Service GmbH is an owner-managed German bancassurance - broker pool in insurance and investment range. The company, which was founded by Norbert Porazik in 1996, has its headquarters in Munich and, according to its own information, currently employs over 380 people.

Business activity

In insurance and capital investment ( investment funds and closed-end funds ), the term broker pool refers to the provision and shared use of precisely defined resources. The company covers all branches of the insurance and financial services sector: private health insurance , life insurance , property insurance , investment , participations , financing and banking products. The Fonds Finanz acts as a “hub” between the job description of the independent insurance broker or investment advisor / financial advisor and the companies ( insurance companies , issuing houses , investment companies , banks , building societies etc.) that offer these products. It enables both parties to communicate in a targeted manner and do business with one another.

Affiliated partners of Fonds Finanz receive all sales support measures as well as access to all companies and products free of charge.

The Allfinanz broker pool was founded in 1996 as a sole proprietorship by Norbert Porazik and converted into a GmbH almost ten years later . Markus Kiener has been managing director together with Norbert Porazik since 2002. In 2006 they became joint partners in the GmbH.

In the course of business development, the company management was expanded to include additional members. In mid-2020, the top management of the broker pool was expanded and the organizational structure of the company expanded to six business areas. Since July 1, 2020, members of the management team have been Tim Bröning (Finance & Investment), Jörg Neugebauer (Innovation & Technology), Christine Schönteich (Insurance), Klaus Brodbeck (Product Management) and Florian Schwenninger (People & Organization).

As of January 2019, according to the company's own information, almost 380 employees work in the company's Munich headquarters, supported by more than 130 regional directors for around 27,000 independent agents.

Corporate development

The portfolio of the Allfinanz broker pool started with the two main lines of health and life insurance. This was followed by a connection to the fund platform for investment funds and the implementation of various company databases in the sales system in order to facilitate the use of tariff comparisons for independent brokers. In further steps, the offer was expanded to include e-learning films and the weekly newsletter .

Through real-time application processing, Fonds Finanz continued to increase growth and sales and from then on invested the profits in the strategic expansion of the company in the direction of the all-finance broker pool and in the expansion of sales support for affiliated agents. In 2007, among other things, this resulted in the expansion of the tangible assets and investment sectors. Construction financing as well as tangible and banking products followed in 2009 .

Also in 2009, the broker pool had its annual financial statements audited by an external auditor for the first time and took first place among broker pools in the hit list of the investment magazine Cash for the first time. Since then, the Finanz Maklerpool fund has topped the cash hit list in the following years and was last at the top in 2019.

Shortly afterwards, in addition to the lead cooperation with the online portal finanzen.de, a separate coverage concept for brokers was created, which ran under the name "Vermittlerplus". The company also joined associations that are important for the industry, such as the VOTUM Association of Independent Financial Service Providers and the AfW Federal Association of Financial Services.

In 2011, the commission income of Fonds Finanz exceeded the 100 million euro mark. In order to keep pace with the strong growth, the company implemented the connection to the international insurance company Hiscox and began to further develop the commercial, property and construction finance departments .

In the years that followed, the company's range of products and services was steadily expanded. Fonds Finanz has been a premium partner of the soccer club TSV 1860 Munich since 2017. In addition, the broker pool has been supporting the children's aid organization World Vision Deutschland eV since 2007 by sponsoring children and participating in worldwide projects.

Business expansion

In 2018, Fonds Finanz Maklerservice GmbH took over VorFina GmbH - Institute for Pension Provision and Finance. With the takeover of the established company for consulting software and individual IT services, another step was taken towards the digitization of insurance sales in Germany.

In order to further strengthen the investment division and advance the digitization process, on March 16, 2018, Fonds Finanz also incorporated the financial software service provider EDISOFT GmbH, with whom the company had already worked on the development of the “Advisor's Studio”.

Finally, on July 12, 2018, the broker pool acquired a 51 percent majority stake in VersOffice GmbH, a company for holistic back office services in the insurance and finance sector.

Since it was founded, Fonds Finanz has steadily expanded its range of products and services. The first special comparisons and e-learning films were followed in 2007 by the establishment of the Munich broker and multiple agent fair . The industry get-together takes place annually in March and offers intermediaries from the finance and insurance industry a training, information and network platform.

In 2008 the broker pool introduced the softfair comparison calculator and the KV risk assessment . In order to expand the portfolio of sales support, the company implemented the free customer relationship management system VENTA in 2009, with the essential component of the CARA supply analysis. In the same year, the "100% inventory control" system was implemented, which guarantees agents sole ownership of their inventory.

Since 2013, the company has also been offering agents the option of creating their own real estate agent homepage .

In 2014, the construction financing platform “Europace 2” was introduced to expand the construction finance and banking products division . In addition, the Fonds Finanz Podcast was created (initially as Fonds Finanz Radio).

In 2015, the company introduced a real assets platform and expanded its portfolio again. In addition, the broker pool implemented the “RiVa” tool developed by softfair , which enables simple, electronic risk assessment in health and life insurance.

With the introduction of the investment platform “Advisor's Studio” and “maklermovie” , the platform for personalized explanatory videos, Fonds Finanz took a further step in the direction of an all-encompassing broker platform in 2016 .

In 2017, softfair's acquisition center for Fonds Finanz was expanded into a CRM system that forms the core of the all-encompassing broker platform. Also since 2017, the Allfinanz broker pool has been rewarding the brokers' success with the “Three Circles” loyalty program . The basis for this is a point system which the broker assigns to three different status categories based on success.

In order to comply with the new EU insurance distribution directive IDD (Insurance Distribution Directive), the broker pool expanded its range of training courses in 2018 . This was followed by the introduction of a GDPR tool , with which intermediaries can position themselves in a legally secure manner in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation that came into force on May 25, 2018. In cooperation with DWS , the company also launched the online asset management system "easyInvesto" .
