Force One is a steel roller coaster of the " Elevated Seating Coaster " model from the manufacturer Zierer Rides in Schwabenpark near Kaisersbach , Baden-Württemberg ( Germany ). The track was calculated and designed by the Stengel engineering office in Munich, and the opening took place on May 18, 2010. The track is the second delivery of the model, the first - only 385 meters long - called " Crossbow " has been in the US Bowcraft Playland in New Jersey since 2006 .

The construction costs of around 2 million euros were subsidized with 170,000 euros from the state of Baden-Württemberg . The rail length is 535 meters, the maximum rail height at the top of the chain lift is 22 meters. There are various details about the maximum speed of the train. While the park states 85 km / h as the operator, the specialist press and the manufacturer only mention 65 km / h. The same applies to the average speed - 68 km / h or 53 km / h - which is in any case in a high range for a family roller coaster. Relatively high acceleration values of up to 3.7  g also occur. Nevertheless, the train is already approved by the TÜV for children from six years of age, the manufacturer is even aiming for approval for the model from four years of age.

The track has a train designed as a racing car with eight cars for two people in a row. The journey takes about 80 seconds, from the first drop to the final brake about 40 seconds. This means that the roller coaster has a theoretical capacity of 500 passengers per hour.

After the station, the train is carried by friction wheels to the lift and carried from the chain to the tip in just thirteen seconds. The first descent, at the lowest point of which the train reaches its maximum speed, describes a right-hand bend. After a clockwise upward helix, the train goes under the lift after another right turn under the first drop into an upward helix that runs close to the ground to the left. This is followed by another bend that is passed quickly across the access path to the lift, which is followed by a bunny hop in a ditch. After another bend, another bunny hop follows which is followed by an eddy current brake to reduce speed. The final braking takes place only in the station, also using induction brakes.

Awards

In 2011, operators and manufacturers were awarded the “FKF Award 2010” novelty prize by the Freundeskreis Kirmes und Freizeitparks eV for the roller coaster .

Trivia

The manufacturer Zierer has a series of roller coaster models with the name "Force" in its range, with another ride called Force One . The Force One in Schwabenpark is not identical to the Force One roller coaster model from the "Force" series , despite the fact that it has the same name and manufacturer .
