Forgandenny ( Gaelic : Forgrann Eithne ) is a small village in the Scottish council area of Perth and Kinross . It is located about 1.5 kilometers south of the River Earn about six kilometers southwest of Perth and 35 kilometers northeast of Stirling .
Between 1890 and 1928 the nationally important whiskey distillery Stronachie was operated near Forgandenny .

The M90 , which connects Perth with Edinburgh , runs about five kilometers east of the village . The A9 runs about four kilometers northwest. It leads to Thurso in Caithness in the north of Scotland. Forgandenny itself does not have a train station. However, nearby Perth's train station is a long-distance stop.
