Forrest Lewis
Forrest Lewis (born November 5, 1899 in Knightstown , Indiana , USA ; † June 2, 1977 in Burbank , California , USA) was an American actor .
Career
Lewis began his acting career with small roles in the early and mid-1940s. From the 1950s he was regularly seen in supporting roles in various cinema productions and television series. With the director Douglas Sirk and Raoul Walsh , he made some films that mainly belong to the Western genre. By the early 1960s, Lewis was mainly active in television, so he appeared in six episodes of The Andy Griffith Show and was a guest star in two episodes on 77 Sunset Strip . In the following decade he appeared only occasionally, his last appearance as an actor was in 1973 in the TV series Thicker Than Water .
