Ministry of Forestry Industry of the Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic

The Forest Industry Ministry of the Republic of Lithuania ( Lithuanian Lietuvos TSR miško pramonės ministerija ) was a ministry of the Government of Soviet Lithuania . It was subordinate to the Soviet-Lithuanian Council of Ministers . As the forest industry ministry , it was responsible for the forest industry and policy in Soviet Lithuania, about 2 million hectares of forests . After the independence of Lithuania there was then the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Lithuania .

It was based in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius .
