history

The association was officially founded on March 3, 1956 under the name HC Chigny-Vufflens . All 18 founding members agreed to the association's statutes. Without having an ice rink, the members initially trained on ponds or the Cheseaux ice rink in Saint-Cergue . In 1957 the club played its first official game in the third division (fifth division), which ended in a 6: 9 defeat. In 1961 a committee began developing plans for an ice rink in Morges. The ice rink was finally built under the name Patinoire des Eaux-Minérales , in the same year the club was renamed and continued as the Forward Hockey Club . The inauguration of the new home ground took place in December 1962. In the 1962/63 season, the Forward HC came through the promotion playoffs of the third division in the relegation, in which they beat La Chaux-de-Fonds III. In the following season, the club managed to march through to the first division. In 1970 the club rose to National League B , in which Forward Morges was continuously active until relegation in 1978.

The rising operating costs of the ice rink forced the club to act at the end of the 1970s; eventually the town of Morges became the owner of the facility. In April 1984 the local council granted a loan of CHF 240,000 for the study of a new ice rink. The project started in 1990. The official opening of the ice rink took place on September 26, 1992. On January 8, 1993 the club played its first home game against the second division St. Croix, which ended in a 3-7 defeat. In 2004 the club rose for the second time in its history to the National League B, in which they played in the seasons 2004/05 and 2005/06 , but had to withdraw from the NLB for financial reasons.

The first team was disbanded; the second team continued to play in the 3rd division. In 2006 the team was promoted to the second division, and in 2011 they returned to the top amateur division .

In 2016, the merger with Star Lausanne HC followed to form the new Club Star Forward . In the 2017/18 season, the club was included in the newly created MySports League .
