The Fossil Bight (in Argentina Bahía Fósiles ) is a shallow bay on the southwest coast of Seymour Island off the north east coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 1.5 km north-northeast of Cape Lama .
Argentine scientists and those of the United States Antarctic Research Program jointly named the bay in 1982 after the fossils found here .
