Slovenia took part in the 1998 Winter Olympics in the Japanese Nagano with a delegation of 34 athletes in eight disciplines in part, of which 21 men and 13 women. None of the athletes managed to win a medal.

The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the ski jumper Primož Peterka .
