Miha Rihtar (born March 4, 1981 in Ljubljana ) is a former Slovenian ski jumper .

Career

His first international success celebrated Rihtar at the Junior World Cup 1997 in Canada Canmore . In the team competition on the K89 hill he won the gold medal together with Grega Lang , Blaž Vrhovnik and Peter Žonta .

From December 1997 Rihtar was part of the Slovenian team in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . On January 6, 1998, he made his debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup in Bischofshofen and was able to win his first World Cup points in this first competition with 22nd place. A week later he jumped from the normal hill in Ramsau am Dachstein again to place 30 and won another World Cup point.

At the Olympic Winter Games in Nagano in 1998 , he was only 16 years old and was part of the Slovenian squad and reached 34th place on the large hill. In team jumping he reached 10th place together with Peter Žonta , Blaž Vrhovnik and Primož Peterka . After the Olympic Games he jumped three years in the Continental Cup and was nominated again in 1999 for the World Cup competition in Planica . In 2001 he ended his active ski jumping career after only being 96th overall in the Continental Cup with 88 points.
