Fotaq "Photo" Strakosha (born March 29, 1965 in Tepelena , Tepelena district ) is a former Albanian football goalkeeper . With 73 international appearances, he is the record player for the Albanian national team .
He is currently coaching the Albanian U-19 national soccer team . His son Thomas Strakosha (* 1995) is also a goalkeeper and has been playing for Lazio since the 2013/14 season .
Career
Strakosha began his career with his hometown club Minatori Tepelena before moving to KS Dinamo Tirana . With the capital city club he became Albanian champion in 1990 and won the Albanian Cup in 1989 and 1990 . In 1990 he also made his debut in the Albanian national team . At the beginning of 1991 he moved to Greece, where he would play until the end of his career. His first club there was PAS Giannina .
After playing for Ethnikos Piraeus in the meantime, he moved to Olympiakos Piraeus in 1993 , where he celebrated his greatest success by winning the Greek Championship in 1997. Another great success was the 1998 cup win with Panionios Athens .
After standing in goal for various smaller clubs in Greece and a second time for Panionios, he ended his career in 2005 at the age of 40. In the same year he played his last of 73 internationals that made him the record player in Albania.
