Frédéric Déhu (born October 24, 1972 in Villeparisis ) is a former French football player .

Career

At the beginning of his professional career, Déhu played for RC Lens . There he was a fixture between 1991 and 1999 and won Ligue 1 in 1998 and the Coupe de la Ligue in 1999. In the summer of 1999, the Frenchman moved to FC Barcelona in Spain . For the Catalans he played eleven league games under coach Louis van Gaal in the 1999/00 season, only five of them over the full season. After just one season, he left Spain, moved back to France and joined Paris Saint-Germain for around € 6 million . At Paris he was again a regular and won the 2003/04 Coupe de France as captain of his team . Immediately after this triumph Déhu moved to Olympique Marseille . He finally let his career end with Spanish first division club UD Levante in the 2006/07 season.

For the French national team , he ran five times between 1998 and 2000. He played his first game on August 19, 1998 in a 2-2 draw against Austria .
