Frameless was a German pop rock band from the Westerwald .

history

In 1999 Christian Bedersdorfer, Andreas Höhner, Uli Weber, Jan Hüsch and Markus Benner laid the foundation for Frameless with the school band Mental Sunrise. Under the name MS, Christian and Co. were able to gain a very high level of awareness on a regional level. By winning several young talent competitions, the band was able to release two albums between 1996 and 1998 (Desire 1996, Nothing as it Seems 1998), a third was in preparation. In 1999 the then drummer Markus Benner had to leave the band for personal reasons. He was succeeded by Dirk Oechsle, who was then part of the band until the official breakup. In the years 1999 to 2001 it was rather quiet around MS. 2001 the school band finally became "Frameless". In 2004 there was another change in the line-up: Andreas Höhner, guitarist of the band, had to a. give up his collaboration with Frameless due to his studies. He was succeeded by Björn Müller.

The first single that became known (fall 2003) is called Wiser . However, the band achieved far greater fame with the songs I Try , which could be heard in a Škoda commercial, Hooray , the title song of the movie Back to Gaya and Black and White , the song of the German national team for the 2004 European Football Championship in Portugal. After this success within a very short time, the band became quieter. On December 17, 2007, the band announced their breakup.

Others

Oliver Pocher recorded the German version of the song Black and White in 2006 and achieved a top ten success with it.
